Sanctum Lignum : holy wood

Our Lord died for us upon the wood of the cross and, as a reminder of His sacrifice on Calvary, a wooden crucifix is found affixed to the walls within our homes. It serves as the focal point of prayer and meditation while we manage our busy days. Devotion such as this within the home is essential to the spiritual well-being of families and individuals alike. 

Sanctum Lignum desires to bring an array of forgotten and dormant Catholic traditions back to the faithful to strengthen the visual presence of Christ in our homes. In doing so, we aim to increase love for Him and multiply devotions. Our means of doing so is simply through the use of wood - the material on which our Lord had rested upon in the Nativity and that which he was nailed to during His sacrifice. 

Many of the pieces we hope to craft may be familiar to some or perhaps never yet seen by others - though, nothing here is novel. We are working to strengthen families and communities. Let us fortify your home and village.
